Philomela's concerts are artistically ambitious productions that aim to reach the audience on many levels. We continuously innovate choral music by commissioning new compositions, especially from Finnish composers. Philomela has premiered over 40 works, many of which have also included choreography or staging. These commissioned pieces keep our repertoire lively and interesting, allowing the choir's sound to develop. Philomela lives in the present and takes a stand on current issues. However, the most important thing remains: Philomela always sings for the audience – for you.
